Welcome to Hedda House

Lovely to meet you

What Do You Do?

Hedda House is an initiative aimed at raising the profile of female (and female identifying) playwrights of all nationalities, races, classes, backgrounds.

We do this by writing brief, to the point biographies (what we call MicroBiogs) of female playwrights from around the globe and across the ages.

We aim for our bios to be informative and quick to read.

We save our more in depth biographies for HeddaMail email subscribers.

For a longer, fuller description of HH, visit our about page.

Who’s This We You Speak Of?

My name’s Alexa, a feminist theatre nerd and I’m chief procrastinator around these parts.

Erm … yep. That’s it. Just me, right now.
